Make forms work for children.

The original nomination process was too complex for children. Forms were difficult to understand, and the experience lacked the playful structure needed to maintain a child’s interest.

Research with children and parents.

  • Used focus groups to understand where children and parents needed more guidance.
  • Translated the nomination process into simpler screens and clearer labels.
  • Added playful support through Nomii the Dragon and age-appropriate onboarding cues.
  • Refined the prototype through usability testing so the concept could support funding conversations.

A clearer fundable concept.

The new experience made the nomination process easier, clearer and more engaging for children and parents, creating a stronger story for funders, partners and stakeholders.
